Itziar Insausti is an interdisciplinary anthropologist and adventurer with a passion for exploring and rebuild a deeper relationship between humans and our environment.
She holds a degree in Anthropology from Goldsmiths College, University of London and a master's in Education. Over the past five years, she has conducted research on nature connectedness, being trained by the European Union on Nature Based Solutions and deepening on the Agenda 2050 of Stockholms methodologies. She has shared her knowledge as a teacher at the Public University of Navarre. The last 3 years she has immersed herself on indigenous worldviews on the matter: leading her to travel to different mountain bio cultures of the earth.
An eternal migrant, Itziar has immersed herself in diverse cultures and environments, fostering collaborations that address pressing global issues. Her expertise has led to invitations to speak at various platforms and countries, including symposiums hosted by the Royal Anthropological Institute (RAI) in London and workshops with indigenous communities like to Ngobe in Costa Rica.
As a researcher, she integrates her research into her creative practice, using a collaborative approach to raise awareness and inspire reflection on our shared human legacy. Itziar believes that nature and creativity have the power to heal and enrich our lives for generations to come. Her visual photographs have been exhibited across different group exhibitions and galleries in Pamplona, San Sebastian, London, Taos New Mexico and Berkeley.
“We are light and sound and the whole universe unfolds in our true nature”
